EDvisory Education Romania, in partnership with IEC - International Education Center, will organise the 2012 edition of the Danish Day educational event at Athenee Palace Hilton Bucharest. Danish Day will take place on 24th February 2012, between 12.00 and 14.00, in connection with Holland Day. Both events are unique in the Romanian market and are part of the European Education Fair 2012. 

The aim of Danish Day is to promote Denmark as a study destination and to inform Romanian students about the study programmes available in Danish higher education institutions. The main objective of Danish Day is to bring together into a constructive dialogue different parties involved or interested in Denmark as a study destination: representatives of Danish higher education institutions,  members of the Danish embassy in Romania, prospective students, parents, teachers, school officials and mass media representatives. Romanian students will get the opportunity to discuss face-to-face with representatives of the Danish universities, which will enable them access to first-hand information on important topics like study environment, accommodation, living costs, internships, access to the professional market. 

The event brings forward the SAS - Smart AdmissionSystem concept. Through this instant admission system, the students can decide where they want to study (after watching tresentations from various Danish educational institutions) and apply immediately - the whole system is time-effective and user-friendly. Students who haven't yet taken a test certifying their level in English will have the opportunity to take the English Test needed to apply immediately during the Danish Day event. Moreover, applicants will be personally interviewed by the university staff and will have the opportunity to get a first glimpse of their admission status. The event will take place on Friday, 24th February between 12.00 and 14.00 when presentations from various Danish universities will be hold.

12.00 - 12.15: The official opening of the event
12.15 - 12.30: Presentation of Aalborg University
12.30 - 12.45: Presentation of Aarhus Faculty of Arts
12.45 - 13.00: Presentation of Dania Academy
13.00 - 13.15: Presentation of UCN - University College Northern Denmark
13.15 - 13.30: Presentation of VIA University College
13.30 - 13.45: Presentation of ZIBAT
13.45 - 14.00: Questions session

The event will continue with SAS - Smart Admission System. After 14.00, students who have decided to apply to one of the participant Danish Universities will be have the opportunity to take the English Test and be interviewed by representatives from their university of choice. The universities which recognize English Tests taken through SAS - Smart Admission System are: Dania Academy, UCN - University College Northern Denmark, VIA University College and ZIBAT. Aalborg Univesity and Aarhus Faculty of Arts recognize only standardized English Tests, like IELTS, Cambridge and TOEFL and they don't require interviews as a part of the admission process.

14.30 - beginning of the English Testing session for applicants to Dania, UCN, VIA and ZIBAT
15.00 - applicants to UCN finish the English test
15.30 - applicants to DANIA Academy and ZIBAT finish the English test
16.10 - applicants to VIA University College finish the English test
16.15 - beginning of the interviews sessions for applicants to all universities

Places in the SAS testing and interviews sessions are limited. Admission in the SAS is conditioned by registration at Danish Day.

The deadline for registration at Danish Day 2012 Bucharest is February 23th, 2012 at 23.59 PM. An e-mail of confirmation will be issued by the organisers.
